Study Visits

As identified by the member countries to learn from the experience of other member countries in the rural/agricultural development and allied fields. Two (2) study visits at international level and four (4) at regional level in each regional will be undertaken annually.

Deputation of Experts

As per requirement of the member countries to give advice and guidance in formulation, implementation and evaluation of rural development programmes.

Research Studies

Research studies/action research will be undertaken in collaboration with research institutes, universities, and NGOs located in member countries during 2009-2011 on themes relevant to them.

Development Pilot Projects 

During 2009-2011, AARDO will give priority to those projects which focus on capacity building of the rural poor, capital formation by landless poor, agricultural labour and artisans, protection of bio-diversity; and any other innovative action research based project. A maximum of eighteen (18) pilot development projects during 2009-2011 in member countries will be taken up.
